What you will find on each state page
Every state page opens with a short summary of how each topic works in that state, followed by the calculators that apply there. A calculator appears only where the underlying law exists, so the list differs from state to state.
- Probate — what settling an estate costs, what an executor is paid, how long probate takes, and whether a small estate can skip it.
- Personal Injury — filing deadlines, how fault reduces a claim, settlement value, attorney fees, damages caps and insurance coverage rules.
- Family Law — child support, alimony, property division, parenting time, divorce timing and retirement division.
Looking for one question across every state, such as how probate fees compare? Use the topic hubs above, which list a page for each state under every calculator. Each figure on the site traces to a cited statute or official source; see our methodology for how that works.
The calculators on this site provide estimates for general guidance only and are not legal, tax, or financial advice. Confirm current rules with the relevant court, agency, or a licensed attorney in your state before acting.
