Kansas lets a custodial parent settle up to a $25,000 net without a judge
Kansas handles minor settlements under K.S.A. 38-152, which lets a person with legal custody settle without court approval if the net due to the child is $25,000 or less and the money goes into a restricted account or annuity. The age of majority is in 38-101, and the tolling rule in 60-515.
