The statute leaves damages to what is just

Utah's wrongful death act, UCA 78B-3-106, says damages may be given as under all the circumstances of the case may be just. UCA 78B-3-105 defines the heirs.

The estate's own claim survives under UCA 78B-3-107, and the claim must be filed within two years of the death.
