Maine Minor's Settlement Calculator

In Maine, a settlement of a child's claim is not valid unless a court approves it, whatever the amount. Over $5,000 the court also needs medical and police reports, and the money goes into a depository that can be withdrawn only with court approval until majority. Enter the settlement, fee and bills to see what is left for the child.

See why a court approves a child's settlement, how court-controlled depositories and trusts work, and what we found about attorney fees in a child's case.
