Texas Dog Bite Liability

Texas has no dog bite statute. Under the one-bite rule from Marshall v. Ranne, an owner is strictly liable if the owner knew or should have known the dog was dangerous, and an owner can also be liable for negligence. Landlords are liable only with control and notice.
