Quick answer: In Idaho a landlord gives a written 3-day notice stating the amount due before filing for unpaid rent, a 3-day notice to perform or quit for another lease violation, and at least one month’s notice to end a month-to-month tenancy. Only then can it file in the district court.

This Idaho eviction notice calculator applies Idaho Code 6-303 and 55-208. Choose the reason and enter the date the notice was served: it shows the last day of the notice period and the earliest day the landlord can file. It does not say how long the court process takes: see the Idaho eviction timeline calculator.

What does this eviction notice calculator check?

For a 3-day notice it adds three days to the date of service under Idaho Code 73-109: the first day is not counted and a last day that is a Sunday or one of the holidays in section 73-108 is excluded too, and it treats the next business day as the earliest filing day. For a month-to-month tenancy it adds one calendar month. It does not check the wording of the notice, how it was served or whether a subsidy program adds protection. It also shows the 30-day federal date for a covered dwelling, which you should check with an attorney.
