Quick answer: Oklahoma uses an income-shares model in 43 O.S. §§ 118 to 119. Each parent’s gross monthly income (earned and passive, with imputation in some cases) is reduced by deductions for support alimony paid in a prior case, qualified other children and jointly acquired debt service to give the adjusted gross income. The two incomes are added and the Schedule of Basic Child Support Obligations gives the base obligation for the number of children: $50 at the bottom, rising in $50 steps of combined income up to $15,000 a month (for example $1,303 for two children at $8,000). Each parent owes his or her income share. The children’s health insurance premium and work-related child care are allocated by income and added, with credit for what the obligor pays. If the non-custodial parent has 121 or more overnights a year, the combined base is multiplied by 2, 1.75 or 1.5 depending on the overnights, each parent’s share is applied to the time the children spend with the other parent, and the two are offset. The result is a rebuttable presumption, and the court may deviate with specific findings.

What this calculator checks
The calculator follows the statutory computation with the Schedule of Basic Child Support Obligations (289 rows, read from the official publication and checked against the statute), and was checked against an independent re-implementation. It does not compute the deduction for in-home other children (75% of a hypothetical order), cash medical support, split custody or deviations.
Child support across Oklahoma
The guidelines apply in every Oklahoma district court and in administrative proceedings, from Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Norman, Broken Arrow, Edmond or Lawton. The same computation is required whether the custody is designated sole or joint.
